Food banks unable to meet surging demand for emergency food assistance

Food banks in North Cumbria are overwhelmed and running out of supplies to meet the growing number of people seeking emergency food assistance. Vulnerable populations facing food insecurity have no reliable way to access adequate nutrition, and existing food bank infrastructure and donation systems are failing to keep pace with demand. Current charitable donation models and volunteer-run operations cannot scale quickly enough to address the crisis.
