Taiwan manufacturers struggle to source reliable robotic joint actuators for industrial automation

Taiwan's manufacturing sector lacks domestic suppliers of high-performance robotic joint drive systems, forcing companies to rely on expensive foreign imports or develop proprietary solutions. This creates supply chain vulnerabilities, longer production timelines, and higher costs for automation projects. Current solutions either require importing from Japan/Europe or building custom systems in-house, both of which are time-consuming and capital-intensive.
